Description
Created in collaboration with Japanese chigiri-e artist Miki Tamura, the “Kawabe” clear tape captures the peaceful beauty of riverside scenery through her signature torn-paper collage style. Soft textures, layered colours, and delicate landscape details create a calm and atmospheric design that feels both nostalgic and beautifully artistic.
Made using transparent PET material, this clear tape blends effortlessly onto journal pages, scrapbooks, gift wrapping, and mixed media projects. The transparent background allows the artwork to appear naturally integrated into the page, making it especially effective for layering and collage-style decoration. The gentle riverside motifs and painterly textures bring a quiet sense of warmth and storytelling to any creative project.
Unlike perforated sticker-style tapes, the Kawabe design comes as a continuous 3-metre roll, giving you the freedom to create seamless borders, flowing scenes, and larger decorative compositions. The tape can still be easily torn by hand, making it wonderfully convenient for everyday journaling and crafting.
Part of the SAIEN artist collaboration series and proudly made in Japan, this premium clear tape combines artistic expression with practical usability. The removable adhesive allows for easy repositioning without damaging paper or leaving sticky residue behind, making it ideal for planners, collage art, stationery projects, and creative gift wrapping.

About the Brand:
Kamiiso Sansyo was founded almost 100 years ago (1926), in Ehime prefecture, Japan. Throughout their history, they have specialised in producing Japanese paper products covering a wide range of industries.
In 2017, they began creating washi paper masking tapes of the highest quality using Japanese techniques. Many of the beautiful designs are based on traditional Japanese patterns that would typically be found on a Kimono. To help with this, they collaborated with a specialist Kimono designer in Kyoto.
They aim to continue working hard every day to create paper products that contribute to society as a whole.
