Created in collaboration with Japanese chigiri-e artist Miki Tamura, the “Keshiki” clear tape transforms tiny torn-paper illustrations into a beautifully atmospheric miniature artwork. Inspired by peaceful everyday scenery and landscapes, the delicate collage-style designs capture the soft texture and layered depth that make Tamura’s work so distinctive.
Unlike traditional washi tape, this design is made using transparent PET material, allowing the artwork to blend seamlessly onto journal pages, glassine paper, gift wrap, and layered collage projects. The clear background creates a beautifully light and airy effect, making the illustrations appear almost painted directly onto the page.
One of the standout features of the Keshiki tape is its clever perforation design, with tear lines every 50mm so each section can be easily separated by hand — no scissors required. Each segment features a different miniature scene, making it perfect for planners, scrapbooking, journaling, and creative paper crafts.
Made in Japan as part of the SAIEN artist collaboration series, this premium clear tape combines practicality with artistic expression. The removable adhesive allows for easy repositioning while maintaining the delicate finish and high-quality detail expected from Japanese stationery craftsmanship.

About the Brand:
Kamiiso Sansyo was founded almost 100 years ago (1926), in Ehime prefecture, Japan. Throughout their history, they have specialised in producing Japanese paper products covering a wide range of industries.
In 2017, they began creating washi paper masking tapes of the highest quality using Japanese techniques. Many of the beautiful designs are based on traditional Japanese patterns that would typically be found on a Kimono. To help with this, they collaborated with a specialist Kimono designer in Kyoto.
They aim to continue working hard every day to create paper products that contribute to society as a whole.
