Kyo-no-oto Azuki-iro No.06 is a rich, muted reddish brown with subtle purple undertones, inspired by the deep colour of azuki beans.
The name Azuki-iro refers to the colour of red beans, an ingredient often used in sweet Japanese desserts. This distinctive reddish-brown shade will stand out nicely on the page.
Part of the Kyo-no-oto range from TAG STATIONERY in Kyoto, these inks reinterpret traditional Japanese colours, drawing inspiration from Kyoto's long history of dyeing and colour-making.
As a dye-based ink, Azuki-iro has a natural tendency to create subtle variations in colour as it spreads across the paper. Because it is water-soluble, you can also experiment with a water brush to soften, blur or dilute the colour for different effects.
The ink can be used with fountain pens, dip pens, glass pens and brushes, making it a versatile choice for writing, journalling, lettering and illustration.
