Kyo-no-oto Hisoku (ひそく) No.07 is a soft, muted blue-green ink inspired by the delicate colour of celadon pottery. The name Hisoku refers to a mysterious blue-green shade traditionally associated with the subtle, ash-tinted beauty of ceramics.
Part of the Kyo-no-oto range from TAG STATIONERY in Kyoto, these inks recreate traditional Japanese colours with modern interpretations, drawing on the knowledge and techniques of Kyoto's dyeing and weaving traditions. Each colour has its own name and story, with Hisoku offering a particularly gentle shade that works beautifully for everyday writing, lettering and illustration.
As a dye-based ink, Hisoku has a lovely tendency to shade and soften as it spreads across the paper. It can also be diluted or gently blurred with water for different effects, making it a versatile choice for creative work as well as writing.
The ink can be used with fountain pens, dip pens, glass pens and brushes. Try it with one of our Teranishi glass dip pens to really appreciate the subtle variations in colour.

We gladly accept returns on goods purchased. Please notify us by email within 14 days of delivery if you intend to return your order. The cost of returning undamaged goods will be the responsibility of the customer.
