Description
Kyo-no-oto Yamabuki-iro No.04 is a warm golden yellow ink with a subtle orange-red warmth, inspired by the vivid flowers of the Yamabuki plant.
The name Yamabuki-iro refers to the bright golden shade of the Kerria japonica flower. Used as a colour name in Japan since ancient times, it is a lively shade that brings plenty of warmth to writing, lettering and illustration.
Part of the Kyo-no-oto range from TAG STATIONERY in Kyoto, these inks reinterpret traditional Japanese colours, drawing inspiration from Kyoto's long history of dyeing and colour-making.
As a dye-based ink, Yamabuki-iro takes advantage of the natural bleeding of dyes to create subtle variations in colour and gentle gradations as it spreads across the paper. You can also use a water brush to dilute or soften the ink for different effects.
The ink can be used with fountain pens, dip pens, glass pens and brushes, making it a versatile choice for both writing and creative work.
