A pencil you don't need to sharpen? Meet the Sun-Star metacil pocket, a compact metal pencil designed for long-lasting writing without the usual sharpening.
Instead of a traditional graphite core, metacil uses a special core made from graphite and metal. As you write, friction against the paper releases tiny particles from the core to create a pencil-like line. The result is a writing experience similar to a 2H pencil, while the core wears down much more slowly than a conventional pencil. Sun-Star estimates that it can write for approximately 16km without sharpening.
The pocket version measures just 120mm long, making it easy to slip into a pencil case, pouch or notebook cover. It also comes with a cap to protect the tip when you're carrying it around. When the tip eventually wears down, replacement cores can be sourced, extending the life of the pencil even further.
Just like a regular pencil, the marks can be erased with a standard eraser. The writing is also resistant to smudging with water and water-based markers, making metacil useful for notes, planning, sketching and drawing.

We gladly accept returns on goods purchased. Please notify us by email within 14 days of delivery if you intend to return your order. The cost of returning undamaged goods will be the responsibility of the customer.
Goods must be returned to us within 28 days in an unopened, unaltered and undamaged state to be eligible for a full refund.
